The Carnahan Ranch is located adjacent to the Fort Laramie National Historic Site, and was originally part of the Fort Laramie grounds.
The Carnahan Ranch is a very special and unique place. It was the crossroads of a nation moving west. The great trails of the western expansion all crossed the ranch. Among those trails were the California Trail, Mormon Trail, Oregon Trail, Texas/Montana Cattle Trail, the Cheyenne/Deadwood Stage trail and the Overland Telegraph.
