We started raising longhorns in 1996 as a lifestyle change due to family health considerations. This is an avocation, using some property we basically had let go, my love of the outdoors, and my wife’s family knowledge of cattle. Texas longhorns seemed the logical selection due to their self sufficiency and low fat and cholesterol beef. We have been really pleased with the breed, and their improvement of the property is almost unbelievable.
At this point personal tastes start to show up. We are striving to raise a beef type long horned animal with show potential. Inevitably, my choices in a herd have Senator in their lineage. Therefore my senior herd sire is Touchstone, a black Senator son and my junior herd sire is Shadowgun, a Shadow son.We keep about 70 animals ranging from ropers to mama cows.

Born April 2001, a son of The Shadow with Not Gunna on the bottom.
He measured 55" at 26 months.

Our present inventory includes the two bulls, 27 cows, 11 bred heifers, 8 open heifers, 8 weaned heifers, 11 weaned bulls and 7 calves. Every thing is for sale, some is just a little higher than others.
