The Jones Ranch has had a progressive breeding program for 21 years using the best bulls we could afford on a "closed" herd. We raise gentle Front Pasture cattle with terrific horns. They will always get the judges attention. We raise a lot of pretty "chocolate" colored cattle.
Most of our cow herd is by Gunman who is by G-Man out of Sizzle (by Senator). Many of our cows go back to Bail Jumper, J.R. Rangago, Zhivago, Overwhelmer, Royal Spice and Bold Ruler.
We have sold 18 Gunman sons and grandsons into 14 different states and Canada over the past 4 years!

Double bred Gunman plus Phenomenon and Emperor. Nearly ever bull sired by Grand Slam is Horn Showcase material...including J.R. Rebel. His horns angle backward a lot. His brother Maximus measured 66 inches at 30 months! We bred Rebel some in 2004 and we are using him some more. We like his calves...good color and a lot of heifers. He measured 55.5" at 22.5 months. 59.4" at 25.5 months. 61.5" at 27.5 months. 64.5" at 31 months.
